The Review Rest Period is a simple but powerful feature designed to help you avoid over-communicating with customers. It controls how frequently a customer can receive review invitations, no matter how often they transact with your business.
By choosing a rest period that works for your business — from 1 to 12 months — you can keep your review strategy respectful, effective, and customer-friendly.
🧠 What is the Review Rest Period?
The Review Rest Period is a safeguard that prevents the same customer from receiving multiple review invitations within a selected timeframe.
It ensures that regular or repeat customers don’t get overwhelmed, even if they’re added again via integrations like Square, ARR, or manual uploads.
⚙️ How It Works
Rolling delay: Once a review invite is sent to a customer, they won’t receive another until the rest period has passed.
Your choice of timing: You choose the delay — from 1 to 12 months — based on what makes sense for your customer lifecycle.
Purchase resets the clock: If the customer transacts again within the rest period, the delay resets based on the new transaction date.
🔁 Example
A customer receives an invite on December 13 with a 6-month rest period.
They’re not eligible for another invite until June 13.If they make a new purchase on February 1, the clock resets — they become eligible again on August 1.

🔧 How to Adjust Your Review Rest Period
Go to Review Requests > Settings
Scroll to Step 10: Set your Review Rest Period
Choose a delay from 1 to 12 months in the dropdown
Click Save & Exit
