Goodreviews' Square integration: Send review invitations

With Goodreviews's app for Square, businesses can automatically send post-purchase review invitations to customers. Invitations can be triggered by transactions placed on both Square Point of Sale and Invoices.

Use Goodreviews and Square together to collect Google reviews effortlessly.

This integration allows you to automatically send Google review invitations when you or your customers complete an action.

Once your Square integration is installed, you can select to send review invitations in one of three ways:

  1. In-person payment

  2. When you send an invoice to a customer

  3. When you send an invoice to a customer

In-person payment / POS payment

After someone buys from you and receives a receipt by email, we will send that customer a review request.

This is perfect if you operate in an industry where customer interaction is mainly face-to-face, and payment is made in person. We recommend this option for restaurants, beauty salons, dentists, therapists, chiropractors, hospitality, and so on.

To select this option

  1. Navigate to Integrations and connected apps

  2. Select Configuration & Select "In-person payment"

That's it. Now whenever someone pays on your Square POS and receives a receipt via email, we will automatically send them a review invitation.

When you send an invoice to a customer

If you send an invoice to your customer, we will send a review invitation.

This is perfect if you mainly receive payment for your business through invoices. We recommend this option for electricians, plumbers, roofers, HVAC, and so on.

To select this option

  1. Navigate to Integrations and connected apps

  2. Select Configuration & Select "invoice sent"

That's it. Now, whenever you publish(send) an invoice in Square we will automatically send them a review invitation.

When you send an invoice to a customer

When a customer pays an invoice, we will send a review invitation.

This is similar to invoice sent, however, the key difference is that we send review invitations after payment has been received.

This is perfect if you mainly receive payment for your business through invoices. We recommend this option for electricians, plumbers, roofers, HVAC, and so on.

To select this option

  1. Navigate to Integrations and connected apps

  2. Select Configuration & Select "Invoice Paid"

That's it. Now, whenever a customer pays your invoice we will automatically send them a review invitation.
